M.26 Adrian, Polish Army WW.2 Steelhelmet

Rare to find,French-Polish Adrian-Steelhelmet Modéle 1926 of the Polish Armed Forces in France. This kind of steelhelmet, was verifibale used ,by the Polish Armed Forces in France in 1939 . To the front is mounted the Polish National Eagle,lacquered in field-grey-/khaki .The original chinstrap in bright brown leather is present, so is the stronger worn liner with vintage minor damages of age.

After the break-down of the French frontlines,parts of the 2^nd Polish Schützen Division crossed the border to Switzerland on 19./20. June 1940 in the area Goumoisdie where the troops were disarmed and interned .This helmet here, according to the found place history,was brought up in a barn in Switzerland near Büren at the river Aare ,(which matches the historical events of the time and interned Polish soldiers). Untouched, authentic helmet with small parts of corrosion,lost of lacquer,such as vintage aged traces of wear and use. A very rae to find helmet at all
